Sourced from the rafters of old thatched-roof houses and naturally smoked by traditional irori hearths, this bamboo features a unique tea brown patina. The scoop comes with a traditional tea chest (tomozutsu), providing both practical and elegant storage.

Care Instructions

To remove the Yoshino cedar stopper from the bamboo tube, gently alternate upward pressure with your thumb and index finger on both sides of the stopper to avoid cracking it.

Handle the chashaku gently when scooping matcha. After use, wipe with a soft, dry cloth and avoid contact with water. With proper care, the chashaku will age gracefully, developing a unique character over time.
