To remove the Yoshino cedar stopper from the bamboo tube, gently alternate upward pressure with your thumb and index finger on both sides of the stopper to avoid cracking it.

Handle the chashaku gently when scooping matcha. After use, wipe with a soft, dry cloth and avoid contact with water. With proper care, the chashaku will age gracefully, developing a unique character over time.
