Emptea is a small Japanese tea brand based in Kobe and run by a Japanese founder. We offer a curated range of seven teas: ceremonial matcha, everyday matcha, hojicha in powder and loose leaf, asamushi sencha, and kabusecha kukicha. Each one is crafted with Japanese tea masters who have spent generations perfecting their craft.

From a Tokyo pace to a tea room.
Our founder was born and raised in Tokyo, juggling Big Tech, side projects, and a newborn, always moving fast. Searching for a daily ritual that calmed his pace, he found his way into Sado (茶道), the Japanese tea ceremony.
Sado is more than tea preparation. Each deliberate movement, from scooping the powder to drawing the whisk, becomes a practice in attention. Active. Quiet. A way of arriving in the moment.
